Dr. Thomas Burnett MD graduated cum laude from the University of Dayton in 2002 with a degree in pre-medicine. In 2007, he graduated from the University of Toledo College of Medicine after receiving the United States Air Force HPSP (Health Professions Scholarship Program) scholarship.
After completing a year of intern residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, he served 3 years as a flight surgeon for the 178th Fighter Wing and 445th Airlift Wing at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
He was awarded the Commendation Medal in June 2011 for achievements while deployed to Afghanistan in 2010, where Dr. Burnett served as a validating flight surgeon of Regional Command South.
After his honorable discharge, he returned to Pittsburgh and UPMC to complete his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry). After graduating in 2014, Dr. Thomas Burnett became the Medical Director of Legacy Medical Centers dedicated himself to becoming one of the top Regenerative Medicine Doctors for joint and tendinopathy pain in Pittsburgh.
He then opened up Regeneration Pittsburgh in Wexford, PA with the vision of changing how patients are treated for pain and helping athletes of all levels achieve new peak performance. Dr. Thomas Burnett continues to work with military veterans by sitting on the board of directors for ‘It’s About The Warrior’ Foundation [http://iatw.us/]- a tri state area, a nonprofit organization assisting and empowering all post 9/11 veterans and their families.
His concentration and passion is centered on sports and regenerative medicine as well as concussion management. He’s performed over 4,000 successful regenerative medicine procedures and is recognized as one of the foremost Regenerative Medicine specialists in the Pittsburgh area.
Casey Johnson, PA-C graduated from Penn State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health. She then went on to The University of New England in Portland, ME where she graduated with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2017.
She began her career as a Physician Assistant at one of the largest Orthopedic Surgery practices in Western Massachusetts where she practiced for 4 years in both the surgical and non-surgical settings. She also worked as a PA-C for Springfield College Athletics diagnosing and treating sports-related injuries among the collegiate athletes.
Casey then transitioned to Orthopedic Trauma Surgery at a level-1 trauma center in Western Massachusetts and began her Aesthetics career at a well-established medical spa after getting certified for both neurotoxins and dermal fillers in early 2021. She then obtained advanced training and experience in all neurotoxins, dermal fillers, PDO threads, biostimulatory injectables, and microneedling/ RF microneedling.
Casey moved back to Pittsburgh in 2022 where she worked in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery gaining even more aesthetic experience alongside some of Pittsburgh’s top injectors/surgeons, learning at an advanced level, the best nonsurgical approaches to anti-aging and regenerative medicine.
She joined Regeneration Pittsburgh in September 2023 to concentrate on musculoskeletal pain relief, regenerative medicine, body composition protocols, and cellular aesthetics.
